Major Projects Experience

With a decade’s experience at the heart of community relations at Europe’s biggest infrastructure project and still more advising blue chip clients in construction and property, we can advise any organisation on how to manage community relations effectively and efficiently.

Gareth Epps has many years’ experience on working on and with major construction projects.

At Crossrail he played a leading role in delivering effective community relations for the project, devising and then implementing requirements, working with the supply chain to deliver optimum performance. He devised and implemented projectwide community liaison arrangements and took overall responsibility for a number of functions including community investment.

Since July 2016 Gareth has been working as the independent HS2 Construction Commissioner.

This high-profile role has seen him act as a mediator in unresolved construction disputes between the HS2 project and those affected by it. He has also published information about this role.

He also has a decade’s experience in local government, and experience in political and single-issue campaigning and winning elections, giving a 360-degree view of communities and understanding of others’ perspectives.  As volunteers he has won national public affairs recognition for helping to deliver a successful campaign by co-ordinating grassroots organisations with little or no budget.
